Are You Struggling with Vision Loss?
Forest Sensory Services offers support through our Community ECLO (Eye Care Liaison Officer). An ECLO is a trained professional who provides practical and emotional support to people living with visual impairment, as well as their families.
Our ECLO can:
- Explain eye conditions and available treatments in plain English
- Offer emotional support and reassurance
- Help you understand what support is available and how to access it
We also provide signposting to a wide range of services, including:
- Benefits advice
- Support in the home
- Emotional wellbeing support
- Demonstrations of magnifiers and specialist equipment
- Guidance on assistive technology
We work closely with HumanWare and many other organisations to ensure you receive the most appropriate support for your needs.
Our service is free of charge. We encourage you to visit us where possible, as this allows us to show you a wider range of equipment and support options. However, home visits can be arranged if needed.
